The Washington State Department of Transportation announced Monday morning that barrier repair work scheduled for that day has been canceled. It’s unclear when the construction will be rescheduled to.

The work was scheduled for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, May 8, and the left lanes in both directions of the freeway near 113th Avenue Southwest would have been closed.

Traffic south of Tumwater on I-5 will be slowed for several hours when crews repair the barrier that was recently damaged by a semi-truck, the state Department of Transportation announced.
