Three roads in central Olympia will be closed for utility work between Aug. 22 and the end of the month.

From Aug. 23 to the end of August, Olympia Avenue Northeast will close between Franklin and Adams streets so that LOTT and its subcontractor can conduct utility work.

The closed section of the road borders Olympia’s Intercity Transit Center and the Greyhound bus station. While traffic will be impacted in the area, its effects to Olympia Transit Center’s operations will be minimal, according to a city news release.

Mary Elder Road will close at Martin Way East between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. nightly Aug. 22-25. This is also for work conducted by LOTT and their subcontractor.

The Chestnut Street and Fifth Avenue intersection also will close for utility maintenance on Aug. 22. To minimize disruptions to the Olympia Police Department, it will close between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
