A 52-year-old Lacey woman was injured and her passenger later died after a wreck last week in Yakima County, according to Washington State Patrol.

The Lacey woman’s passenger, identified as 85-year-old Louie H. Adcock of Yakima, died Sunday, according to State Patrol.

About 1 p.m. Oct. 25, the Lacey woman was driving north on state Route 97 in Yakima County. Meanwhile, a 46-year-old Wapato man was southbound on the same road, but turning left onto Lateral Road 1, according to State Patrol.

Troopers say the Wapato driver failed to yield the right of way and crashed into the Lacey woman’s vehicle.

The Lacey woman was injured and taken to Multicare Yakima Memorial.

The Wapato man was not hurt.
