State Route 108 near Kamilche closed for two weeks

Travelers on State Route 108 must take a detour near Kamilche in Mason County until Aug. 9 while a section of the highway closes for two weeks.

In the second of three summer closures for fish barrier removal work, the Washington State Department of Transportation closed SR 108 west of Eich Road on Friday and it will remain closed until 9 a.m. Aug. 9.

WSDOT is not allowing travel through the work zone. Travelers must detour using U.S. Highway 101 and State Route 8 in Thurston and Grays Harbor counties. Shaker Church Road Northwest in Thurston County will be limited to local traffic.

The final summer closure will be on SR 108 between West Hurley Waldrip Road and Eich Road from 8 a.m. on Aug. 14 to 8 a.m. on Aug. 28.
