Construction on Morris Road in southeast Thurston County to delay traffic in August
Travelers on Morris Road Southeast can expect traffic delays from 148th Avenue Southeast to 133rd Avenue Southeast in August.
The north-south road is south of Yelm and east of Rainier.
Thurston County Public Works crews are prepping and paving Morris Road from Aug. 5 to Aug. 28. Work hours are from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, with two exceptions: Aug. 14 and 15, when crews will work from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Most traffic delays will be minimal with single-lane closures, but delays will be up to 20 minutes Aug. 13-15.
Thurston County Public Works recommends travelers add extra travel time or consider alternative routes during construction.
