Using her usual set of numbers — ones “made up of special dates” — a Detroit woman played Fantasy 5 online with the Michigan Lottery.

Her picks — 02-10-11-17-21 — matched the winning numbers during the game’s March 12 drawing, according to a news release from lottery officials.

The woman, who chose to stay anonymous, won the game’s $482,417 jackpot.

“When I logged in to my account and saw I’d won the jackpot, I called my mom in a panic,” the 45-year-old woman told Michigan Lottery. “She thought something was wrong until I told her I’d won the Lottery.

“We were both in shock and couldn’t believe it,” she continued.

She says the prize money is a “huge relief,” and she plans to use her winnings to pay off bills before saving the rest, according to the news release.

The win “couldn’t have happened at a better time,” she said.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
