Milk saucer wasn’t enough to lure kitten trapped in car. Then firefighters stepped in
When a saucer of milk just wasn’t enough to lure a kitten from a car in California, firefighters decided to take the car apart.
An Irvine resident noticed the kitten was stuck in their car after finding a note that read, “We hear a kitten meowing from your car,” Orange County Fire Authority said in a series of July 24 tweets.
After the kitten wouldn’t be tempted by a sip of milk, the resident walked to a nearby fire station, officials said.
Firefighters then disassembled portions of the car to free the kitten from under it, according to officials.
Fire officials said Irvine Animal Services took over caring for the kitten.
“The kitten is doing well and has already been adopted,” officials said.
Irvine is about 40 miles southeast of Los Angeles.
