A substitute teacher is going to prison after being convicted of molesting boys as young as 4 in California, officials said.

Andrew Louie Sandoval, 28, was accused of molesting two boys between the ages of 4 and 9 as early as 2015, McClatchy News reported.

After looking through his electronic devices, officials found over 600 images of child pornography, according to an August news release by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

Officers reached out to several schools and childcare centers where Sandoval worked, but no victims came forward, the district attorney’s office said in an Oct. 11 news release.

The victims in this case were not students at any of the schools where he was employed, officials said.

On Oct. 9, Sandoval, of South Gate, pleaded no contest to two felony counts of oral copulation with a child 10 years or younger, prosecutors said.

He was sentenced to 15-years-to-life in prison and must register as a sex offender, officials said.

A 10-year stay away protective order was also issued by the court, officials said.

District Attorney George Gascón offered his “heartfelt compassion” to the “courageous young survivors.”

“Your bravery is a powerful step toward healing, and we stand with you in your journey,” the district attorney said.
