Thousands brave rain Tuesday to March for Life at Capitol
Rain did not dampen anti-abortion activists’ spirits on Tuesday as more than 5,000 people braved a downpour at the state Capitol for the annual March for Life.
March for Life president Noreen McEntee Hobson, whose mother Kathy McEntee founded March for Life in 1978, encouraged attendees to support pro-life candidates, and if they don’t have pro-life candidates in their districts. to run for office.
Sen. Doug Ericksen. R-Whatcom County, was among the legislators who spoke. He offered a message of unity for the group.
“One thing that we all have in common ... all of our parents chose life,” Ericksen said as the crowd cheered.
“It’s a decision that every parent should make, and we need to have a government that supports life at every stage and every step of the way.”
