About 10,000 children’s robes have been recalled because they pose a risk of burning children.
On Wednesday, seven-colored Star Art in Linen-branded children robes, manufactured by Mark of Fifth Avenue, were recalled, according to a posting by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The children’s robes failed to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children, according to the recall notice.
The robes sold in six children’s sizes — 2, 3-4, 5-6, 6-7, 7-8, and 10-12 — and come in seven colors: black, navy, blue plaid, red plaid, red, royal blue, and gray. The long-sleeved robes have two front pockets and two side seam belt loops with a matching belt.
They were sold online from August 2019 through June at www.Amazon.com and www.Walmart.com for $35 to $45.
If you own a recalled robe, take it away from children and contact Mark of Fifth Avenue, the recall says. Consumers can receive a full refund by cutting the robes in half, taking a photo of the cut and sending an email to mofaproductsafety@gmail.com with the photos.
No injuries have been reported yet.
