Heat is on to recruit, train firefighters in time for wildfire season in WA, Northwest
The USDA Forest Service is in the midst of training young recruits in anticipation and in time for a busy wildfire season.
In this video, Fox News speaks to a young firefighter trainee, Lucyanna Labadie.
“We have to be flexible and adapt to an ever-changing situation, kind of be ready to move”, she goes on to say, “we’re out there working really long days, in all kinds of adverse conditions.”
According to Fox News, the US saw a record number of wildfires in 2021, and 2022 looks like it will be even busier.
