Love cookies? Then Seattle is the place to be.
On Friday, lawn care company Lawn Love released an analysis of the best U.S. cities for cookie lovers, and Seattle is No. 1. Based on data from 200 of the nation’s biggest cities, the Emerald City topped the list ahead of New York City at second, followed by Washington, D.C., Boston and San Francisco.
Lawn Love released the ranking as part of its online studies category section. It said Seattle “has top-quality cookies, with access to plenty of cookie shops, including those open late.”
The website analyzed publicly available data to measure how accessible cookies are in each city, the quality of cookies available and their popularity. To build its definitive ranking, Lawn Love examined metrics such as the number of cookie vendors per square mile, the average consumer rating for vendors, the number of Girl Scout booths in a city and average monthly Google searches for cookie keywords.

The lawn care site lauds Seattle-based business Hello Robin, which opened in 2013 and has stores in Capitol Hill and University Village. On Yelp, the bakery and dessert store has almost 800 reviews with an average rating of four and a half stars. Recent reviews have cited customer service, generous food sampling, flavor variety and convenient location.
“The cookies are also something to write home about,” one reviewer wrote from August.
The store offers vegan and gluten-free options, as well as ice cream sandwiches.
Lawn Love also recognizes Bell’s Cookie Co., which has been in business since 2019. The store bakes cookies to order, according to its Yelp summary. One commenter on the review website wrote in October that the store’s cookies are crunchy on the outside and gooey at the center, “like how a cookie should be.” Several reviewers praised flavors like the chocolate chip and red velvet.
Hello Robin is available for same-day delivery on Uber Eats and Postmates, while Bell’s Cookie Co. offers deliveries through Uber Eats and DoorDash.
