Mystery drones have loomed over New Jersey and other East Coast states in recent weeks, sparking widespread concern and anxiety.

Washington gun proponents have a message for whoever — or whatever — is manning the strange aircrafts: Stay away from the Evergreen State.

Over the weekend, the nonprofit advocacy organization Washington Gun Rights posted a pertinent meme to X (formerly Twitter). The image shows Vice President-elect JD Vance with sunglasses on, looking up and pointing a firearm at the sky.

“Everyone in Washington waiting for the drones to fly over,” the meme reads.

Washington Gun Rights added: “Me and the boys are gonna have a good time!”

State Rep. Jim Walsh, an Aberdeen Republican who chairs the state party, shared a screenshot of the post, writing: “Definitely true in LD19.”

Although first reported out east, drone sightings have started to occur on the opposite coast. KIRO Newsradio published an article on Dec. 13 stating that apparent drones have been spotted in Western Washington, including over the Narrows Bridge in Tacoma and in Gig Harbor.

No one knows who is responsible for the appearances of the unmanned aircraft. Various agencies, including the FBI and Homeland Security, have hunted for answers, and some U.S. Congress members are demanding more information.

President-elect Donald Trump has suggested that the government might know more than it’s saying.

“Let the public know, and now,” he posted Dec. 13 on Truth Social. “Otherwise, shoot them down!!!”

The Federal Aviation Administration has advised that shooting drones is against the law.
