Sea-Tac airport adds flights to 5 new destinations in 2026. See ticket prices

If you fly in and out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’re not alone.

The airport northeast of Tacoma is one of the busiest in the country, with 37 airlines flying to and from 96 domestic destinations and 37 international locales.

Those numbers are poised to grow in 2026.

In 2026, you’ll be able to fly from Seattle to five new destinations, courtesy of six new nonstop routes.

When can I fly from Seattle to Hong Kong?

Nonstop flights between Seattle and Hong Kong will return in 2026 starting on Monday, March 30, according to Cathay Pacific.

Flights will take off from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport five times a week.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Cathay Pacific back to the Seattle market,” Sam Cho, Port of Seattle commissioner, said in a port news release.

The return “reconnects our region with a world-class airline” and “deepens our ties with Hong Kong, one of Asia’s most vibrant and dynamic cities,” Cho said.

Cathay Pacific previously ended its service between Seattle and Hong Kong due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the release.

Ticket prices vary depending on the date and seat class.

As of Monday, Dec. 29, round-trip tickets were available for about $975 per person, according to Cathay Pacific’s website.

When can I fly from Seattle to Rome? Barcelona?

Delta Air Lines announced new routes to Rome and Barcelona in 2026.

The flights will operate four times a week to Rome starting Wednesday, May 6, and three times a week to Barcelona starting Thursday, May 7, Delta Air Lines said.

“Whether exploring the vibrant streets of Barcelona or the timeless landmarks of Rome, customers will enjoy a seamless journey,” the airline said.

Ticket prices vary depending on the date and seat class.

As of Monday, round-trip tickets from Seattle to Rome cost as little as $526 per person, according to Delta’s website, while round-trip tickets to Barcelona were available for about $665.

How much does it cost to fly direct to Italy?

Alaska Airlines will offer daily direct flights to Rome beginning Tuesday, April 28, the airline said on its website.

The nonstop flights will be only available during the summer, Alaska Airlines said.

“On board, guests will enjoy a reimagined global travel experience on our wide body, long-haul 787 Dreamliner aircraft,” the airline said.

Ticket prices vary by the date and type of seat you choose. Round-trip tickets are available for as low as $599, the airline said in its Nov. 13 announcement.

See ticket prices for California, Oklahoma flights

Alaska Airlines also is offering daily nonstop flights to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Humboldt County in Northern California, starting on Wednesday, March 18 and Wednesday, April 8, respectively, according to the airline.

“Alaska is redefining what it means to connect guests to a remarkable travel experience rooted in safety, care and performance,” Kirsten Amrine, the airline’s vice president of revenue management and network planning, said in an announcement about new routes.

Ticket prices vary depending on the date and seat class.

As of Monday, round-trip tickets from Seattle to Tulsa were as low as $177 per person, according to Alaska Airlines’ website.

Round-trip tickets to California’s Eureka area were available for $173.
