One lucky lottery player won a $270,000 cashpot by matching five white balls in the Hit 5 drawing on Sunday, Jan. 19, according to a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery and the national Hit 5 website.

The winning Hit 5 ticket was purchased at a Fred Meyer grocery store at 920 South Burlington Blvd. in Burlington, according to Washington’s Lottery.
“This exact location also sold a winning $105,000 Hit 5 cashpot ticket” on Nov. 13, the lottery spokesperson said.
Burlington is about an 11-minute drive from Bellingham.
What were winning Hit 5 numbers?
The winning numbers in Monday’s Hit 5 drawing were 6, 7, 15, 33 and 39, according to the Hit 5 website.

The Hit 5 lottery game costs $1 per play, according to Washington’s Lottery.
Players can choose five numbers between 1 and 42 using a playslip or let the system Quick Pick the numbers for them. You can buy tickets for up to 25 consecutive drawings.
“Cashpots start at $100,000 and keep growing until someone matches all five numbers to win,” Washington’s Lottery said on the Hit 5 website.
