Lottery player wins $1 million in Eastern WA with $1 ticket. Where was it sold?
One lucky lottery player won more than $1 million in Eastern Washington, according to lottery officials.
The player scored $1.2 million by matching five white balls in the Hit 5 drawing on Thursday, Feb. 26, according to a spokesperson for Washington’s Lottery and the national Hit 5 website.

Where was the winning Hit 5 ticket sold in Washington?
The winning Hit 5 tickets was purchased at a Fred Meyer grocery store at 12120 North Division St. in Spokane, the Washington’s Lottery spokesperson said.
That’s about a two-hour drive from Kennewick, according to Google Maps.
What were winning Hit 5 numbers?
The winning numbers in Thursday’s Hit 5 drawing were 15, 22, 24, 32 and 38, according to the Hit 5 website.
What to know about Hit 5 lottery game
The Hit 5 lottery game costs $1 per play, according to Washington’s Lottery.
Players can choose five numbers between 1 and 42 using a playslip or let the system Quick Pick the numbers for them. You can buy tickets for up to 25 consecutive drawings.
“Cashpots start at $100,000 and keep growing until someone matches all five numbers to win,” Washington’s Lottery said on the Hit 5 website.
As of Friday, Feb, 27, the Hit 5 cashpot was at $100,000.
The odds of winning the Hit 5 cashpot are one in 851,000.

Ticket sales end at 7:45 p.m. for the day’s drawing, and resume at 7:46 p.m. to be counted in the following day’s drawing.
