Traffic pattern in Myra Road project to shift April 15

Crews will start prepping for a change to traffic patterns on State Route 125 on Monday, April 13, to accommodate ongoing work on the Myra Road south extension.

Starting Wednesday, April 15, the traffic revision will shift so vehicles will pass through the new lanes on the partially constructed roundabout. There will still be one lane of travel in each direction, and both lanes will be on the south side of the roundabout, allowing crews to begin work on the north.

Ahead of that Wednesday shift, crews will be in the area moving barricades and adjusting the lane striping.

Traffic patterns will adjust as needed to support construction, according to a city news release.

Myra Road will remain closed between SR 125 and Commercial Drive, and Commercial Drive and the Dalles Military Road will continue to be used as detour routes.

Phase 1, which includes the south half of the intersection, is expected to be completed by the end of June, the news release said.

The work on the north half is part of Phase 2. Learn more at gowallawalla.us/myra-south.
