Lewis County to host Veterans Resource Fair at Veterans Memorial Museum in Chehalis

Veterans and their families are invited to attend a Veterans Resource Fair organized by Lewis County Public Health and Social Services staff at the Veterans Memorial Museum in Chehalis Wednesday, April 15, from 2 to 6 p.m., according to a county news release.

The Veterans Memorial Museum is located at 100 SW Veterans Way in Chehalis.

"This free community event will bring together federal, state and local agencies to provide valuable information and direct access to services designed to support veterans," the release stated. "Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about a wide range of benefits and resources in one convenient location."

Regional agencies with representatives due to be on hand at Wednesday's Veterans Resource Fair include, but are not limited to:

-Coastal Community Action Program

-Destination Hope and Recovery

-Cascade Community Healthcare

-Valley View Health Center

-WorkSource

Various informational sessions will also be held throughout the afternoon covering veterans medical benefits, state and local resources, education benefit navigation, employment services, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) disability claims, and VA dependency and indemnity compensation.

"Each session is designed to help veterans better understand and access the benefits available to them. In addition to the scheduled sessions, representatives from multiple organizations will be available to answer questions, provide guidance and connect veterans with ongoing support," the release added.
