Andres Carracso Sanchez, 49, has been in Cowlitz County Jail without bail since his 3 a.m. Sunday booking. He has a hearing on Thursday, after The Daily News deadline, in Cowlitz County Superior Court to review whether bail should be set.
He told an officer, "It was their fault, they started it," after hearing the two victims died during his police interrogation, the newly released court records show.
Carracso Sanchez told officers he left a private party at the event space on 15th Avenue on Saturday after he and his girlfriend fought and he noticed a man making eye contact with her, then laughing at him, according to the police report that led to Carracso Sanchez's arrest.
The private event was a quinceanera, according to a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign that was organized by a Kelso woman who identified one of the victims as her boyfriend.
The Association of Western Pulp and Paper Workers rents out the hall at 724 15th Ave. near the YMCA of Southwest Washington and Lake Sacajawea Park.
Carracso Sanchez told police he went home to grab a gun to shoot the man he suspected was flirting with his girlfriend, the report states.
When he returned to the party, he tried to fight that man one-on-one, but when the man declined and walked away, another man stepped in. Carracso Sanchez reportedly shot towards him and two others before a punch was thrown.
Sergio Adrian Segundo, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene, and Cristian Garcia Segundo, 21, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at Longview's PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center, the report states.
A police pursuit of Carrasco Sanchez began at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
He fled the scene in a black, single-cab Nissan truck, beginning the chase at Kessler Boulevard and Washington Way, but ending back at the hall, according to the report.
Police report recovering a 9mm pistol, with no serial number, which he threw out of the truck near 16th Avenue and Alabama Street during the roughly 3-mile pursuit.
Carracso Sanchez's Miranda rights were given to him in Spanish on a Longview Police Department-issued card since that is his primary language.
He had a Spanish translator in Cowlitz County Superior Court on Tuesday and spoke only Spanish during the hearing.
Carracso Sanchez was booked on suspicion of first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a firearm and attempting to elude police in a vehicle.
