Northwest Conference
ANACORTES - The Seahawks topped the leaderboard as a team and Dex Hong was the match's medalist.
The Seahawks paced the eight-team field with an eight-golfer, 18-hole total of 394.
"This marks the first time in over a decade we have shot under 400 as a team, meaning our team average was below a score of 80," Anacortes coach Chris McKnight said.
Four Seahawks finished in the top 10 with Hong having a round of 75.
"He shot a 39 on the front nine and a 36 on the back," McKnight said. "After starting out with a bogey, he was able to quickly recover with a birdie on his third hole after driving the green on a par 4, a feat few golfers are capable of."
Right behind Hong was teammate Vance Frerichs (77), Sledge Martinez (78) and Clayton Jacobson (81).
"Like Dex, he (Frerichs) had a shaky start," McKnight said. "Despite being 3-over after the first two holes, he was able to finish the round 6-over."
Rounding out the Seahawks scorers was Camden Harriman, who shot an 83 to finish 13th.
"I couldn't be more elated as a coach," McKnight said. "I am so proud of these boys and hope to continue this season as one of, if not the best, Anacortes boys' golf teams the school has ever seen."
