Missing Vancouver woman's body found in Columbia River near Vancouver Lake
The body of a Vancouver woman reported missing in late March was found last week in the Columbia River near the flushing channel to Vancouver Lake.
The Clark County Medical Examiner's Office on Tuesday confirmed the identity as 61-year-old Carrie Ann Winters. Her cause and manner of death are pending.
Winters was last known to be near the Frenchman's Bar area of west Vancouver on March 27.
A person canoeing spotted Winters' body about 5 p.m. April 16 near the flushing channel that carries water from the Columbia River under Lower River Road into Vancouver Lake. Vancouver police responded to assist with recovering Winters' body, said Kim Kapp, a spokesperson for the police department.
