Longview American Legion to host car show in July

Longview American Legion Post No. 155 is holding its first annual car show in July at the club's building at 1250 12th Ave. in Longview.

The July 12 event also serves as an American Legion membership drive and is in partnership with the Longview Sons of the American Legion and the Cowlitz County Veterans Service Center, according to a press release from organizers.

Proceeds will go toward the Cowlitz County Veterans Service Center, which provides services and support for veterans at its Longview office.

Entries are $20 each. The first 50 to register cars receive a goody bag.

Breakfast and lunch will also be available at the event.

Schedule:

7 a.m.: Registration opens.

8 a.m.-3 p.m.: Car show runs.

10 a.m.-noon: Judging occurs.

1 p.m.: Awards are handed out.
