SWAT deployed to arrest Walla Walla man
The Walla Walla Regional SWAT Team was deployed in a Sunday, April 26, arrest of a 26-year-old Walla Walla man in the 600 block of North Rose Street, according to a Walla Walla Police Department news release.
Officers arrived on scene about 8:50 a.m. to serve an arrest warrant. The suspect was wanted for violating pre-trial release conditions connected to another case.
According to the release, the suspect refused to come outside, and the officers requested the multi-agency SWAT team to respond. After multiple hours of trying to get the man to come out on his own, the team entered the house and arrested the suspect.
The suspect was booked into Walla Walla County Jail at 3:23 p.m. according to the jail roster.
As of Tuesday, April 28, formal charges have not been filed by the Walla Walla County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
