Skagit Valley College softball team loses two to Pierce

PUYALLUP - The Skagit Valley College softball team fell to Pierce 17-9 and 11-1 on Tuesday in a Northwest Athletic Conference North Region doubleheader.

In the six-inning first game, the Cardinals rallied from a 4-1 deficit to take an 9-4 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth inning.

The Falcons then outscored the Cardinals 13-0 in the final three frames to claim victory.

Skagit Valley's Lola Wylie was 2-for-4 with a double, run scored and an RBI, while Camden O'Neal was 3-for-4 with a double, run scored and two RBI.

In the second game, Pierce amasses 10 hits in three innings as it scored a run in the first inning and five each in the second and third frames.

The Cardinals finished the game with three hits.

Alayna Dykstra was 1-for-2 with a triple and run scored, while Kelci Comstock was 1-for-2 with an RBI.

The Cardinals are 5-19 in North Region play and 5-23 overall.
