Potato truck crash closes part of Dodson Road

May 6-ROYAL CITY - A potato truck crash was reported to the Grant County Sheriff's Office at around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning on Dodson Road South. The southbound lane of Dodson Road between Road 10SW and Road 11SW reopened about 3 p.m.

Kyle Foreman, public information officer for the Grant County Sheriff's Office, said there were no injuries.

"The driver contacted the guard rail and rolled the truck over onto its side, so it lost some potatoes, but the driver is okay," Foreman said.

The GCSO was assisted by the Washington State Patrol, he said earlier Wednesday.

"Washington State Patrol and GCSO are working on cleaning the scene, investigating the accident and reopening the road."
