Birdwatching group to visit white-tailed deer refuge in Cathlamet
The Willapa Hills Audubon Society is hosting a birdwatching trip in Wahkiakum County on May 22.

The group will meet at 7:45 a.m. at the Julia Butler Hansen Refuge for White-Tailed Deer, 46 Steamboat Slough Rd., Cathlamet.
Group size is limited to 12, according to organizers.

Attendees are asked to bring binoculars, a field guide, warm layers, rain protection, water and a sack lunch.
If light rain is forecast, the trip will continue, but if heavy rain or other unsafe conditions are forecast, it might be canceled.
