John Braun to hold town hall Wednesday, May 13

May 11-State Sen. John Braun, R-Centralia, will host a town hall for his congressional campaign at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at the Skookumchuck Grange, 5345 Skookumchuck Road SE, Tenino.

Braun, recently endorsed by President Donald Trump, is aiming for U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez's seat in the upcoming election.

The seat is high on the National Republican Party's list of districts it will need to flip in the 2026 mid-term elections in order to maintain control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Braun currently serves as a Washington state senator for the 20th Legislative District representing Lewis County and parts of Thurston, Cowlitz and Clark counties. He has held the seat since first being elected in 2012. He also serves as the Senate Republican leader, a position he has held since 2020.
