Wenatchee Valley Appleaires to present annual spring concert

The Wenatchee Valley Appleaires performs "All That Jazz" during the concert themed "a mosaic of music" in May 2025 at Saddlerock Church in Wenatchee.

Spring is in full swing, and the Wenatchee Valley Appleaires, a women's choral group, is preparing for its annual concert Sunday.

This year's concert, titled "Springtime Serenade," will be at 4 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1408 Washington St., Wenatchee.

The concert will feature Ava Schmidt, this year's Appleaires scholarship winner, as a soloist, with Matt Smeller conducting. Pianist Melanie Nees will accompany, along with an ensemble of local musicians.

Admission is by donation, with proceeds supporting the group's annual scholarship for a student planning to major in music after high school.
