Street in West Kelso to close due to construction

The Kelso Community Development Department announced Monday plans to close Southwest Second Avenue between Lincoln and Catlin streets in West Kelso for upcoming construction.

According to a news release, construction was scheduled to begin on Wednesday, with workers completing utility connections for a private residence, including sewer and water.

Due to construction activity, Southwest Second Avenue will be closed for at least a week, with access to the road for workers and residents only, and detours will be in place to manage traffic.
