"I am thrilled to join the YMCA of Southwest Washington family and to have the opportunity to serve the community that my own family has called home for over 20 years," Hutton said in a YMCA press release.

Hutton is currently an early learning consultant at Support for Early Learning and Families, a nonprofit that promotes early learning in Southwest Washington, according to the press release. Before that, she worked as the program manager for the Cowlitz Indian Tribe's Child Care and Development Program.

She also has experience working with the National Indian Child Care Association, the Educational Opportunities for Children and Families and the Longview Indian Education program.

Manny was aquatics director at the YMCA from 2009 to 2015 and was named CEO in 2016.

She wrote in an email that the last few years have been difficult because she had to spend a lot of time on energy savings projects to comply with the state Clean Buildings Performance Standard. The law was passed in 2019 and aims to lower energy costs and pollution.

"We now have a fantastic Facility Director to take over that part of the job, and I feel comfortable with leaving the YMCA in the capable hands of a new CEO and our supportive Board of Directors," Manny wrote.
