Ridgefield School District celebrates May Employees and Students of the Month
May 23-RIDGEFIELD - On May 12, Ridgefield School District officials recognized the May 2026 Employees and Students of the Month at the regular board of directors meeting.
The May employees of the month are Michelle Hankins, art teacher at View Ridge Middle School, and Raquel Cleys, teacher at Ridgefield High School.
Hankins opens her classroom all year long for after-school programs, and in March she teaches four amazing clay classes that are always full. Her creativity, kindness and passion inspire everyone around her, and she makes every student feel seen, supported and excited to learn.
Cleys' expertise and genuine commitment have earned her strong, trusting relationships with staff, who view her guidance as essential to their students' success. Her advocacy for students at RHS is evident in every interaction. She is deeply committed to building a special education program that meets the needs of all learners, drawing on her experience and vision to help create the most inclusive and supportive environment possible.
The May students of the month are: Jace Boynton, pre-k student at the Early Learning Center; Annika Deibert, first grade student at Union Ridge Elementary School; Atreyu Dronen, fourth grade student at Wisdom Ridge Academy; Maddison Daley, fourth grade student at South Ridge Elementary School; Xavier Bosch, fifth grade student at Sunset Ridge Intermediate School; Ammon Neil, seventh grade student at View Ridge Middle School; and Diego Alas Franco, senior at Ridgefield High School.
