A Powerball player missed the jackpot in Washington state but still won big, according to lottery officials.

The Powerball player matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the drawing on Saturday, June 6, according to Washington’s Lottery and the national Powerball website.

The lucky gambler scored $50,000, a Washington’s Lottery spokesperson said.

Where was winning Powerball ticket sold in Washington?

The winning Powerball ticket was purchased at a Brewer’s Mini-Mart II convenience store at 3922 Fruitvale Blvd. in Yakima, according to lottery officials.

It takes about an hour to drive from Richland to the central Washington city.

What were winning Powerball numbers?

The winning Powerball numbers in Saturday’s drawing were 16,32, 55, 59 and 64 with a red Powerball of 3.

How big is the Powerball jackpot?

As of Monday, June 8, the current Powerball jackpot was at $225 million with a cash option of about $100.3 million, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.

When is the next Powerball drawing?

Powerball drawings are held at 7:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, with Double Play drawings at 8:30 p.m. on those nights.

Ticket sales are cut off at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and resume at 6:46 p.m.

The next Powerball drawing is on Monday, June 8, at 7:59 p.m.

How big is the Powerball jackpot now?

Powerball tickets are sold in 45 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., as well as Puerto Rico and The Virgin Islands.

“The jackpot is won by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball,” the national Powerball website said, noting that “the Powerball jackpot grows until it is won.”

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292,201,338, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.
