Silver Star Masonic Lodge plants Liberty Tree in Battle Ground

BATTLE GROUND - Silver Star Masonic Lodge No. 286 Free and Accepted Masons donated and planted a historic Liberty Tree at Kiwanis Park in Battle Ground on June 3. The public was welcomed to a brief ceremony recognizing community service, civic pride and the preservation of American history and traditions.

"Freemasonry is built upon the conviction that individuals can positively impact their communities through charity, education, fellowship, and service," said Ryan Wooldridge, leader of Silver Star Lodge No. 286. "Throughout Washington, Masons contribute to scholarships, literacy initiatives, support for seniors and families in need, and numerous local charitable projects. The Liberty Tree planting demonstrates our dedication to strengthening the future of our community and honoring the enduring values of unity, citizenship, and service central to Freemasonry."

The formal dedication is tentatively planned for the week of June 29, aligning with the 250th anniversary of the United States.
