Ninth Avenue, Tietan Street closures coming up in Walla Walla

Starting Monday, June 22, Ninth Avenue near Plaza Way in Walla Walla will be closed for railroad repair and replacement work.

The closure is expected to last through Friday, June 26. A detour route will be available through Orchard Street, Third Avenue, The Dalles Military Road, Myra Road and Poplar Street.

After the Ninth Avenue work is completed, work will start at Tietan Street near Plaza Way on Monday, June 29. That closure is expected to last through Thursday, July 2.

Local residents and pedestrians will still have access in these areas but emergency vehicles will not. Motorists should follow detour signage and expect delays.
