Kelso woman accused of DUI after crash on Swanson Way

Longview police officers announced Thursday the arrest of Kelso resident Stephanie Marie Davis, 49, after she hit a concrete barrier on Tuesday on Swanson Way in Longview.

A breath test showed she had a blood alcohol content of 0.222, the Longview Police Department reported. The legal limit in Washington is 0.08.

After receiving field sobriety tests and a medical clearance from PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center, Davis was booked without the initial option of bail due to a previous conviction for driving under the influence.

Jail records show Davis was cited for this week's suspected DUI as well.

Driving while intoxicated is a gross misdemeanor in Washington. It can become a felony if the person has three or more prior offenses within 15 years, or if they have previously been convicted of vehicular homicide or assault while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Jail records show she was released on Thursday.
