Seattle weather: Look forward to a sunshine-y weekend

You can start bragging to your out-of-state friends about Seattle again now. The sunshine is back.

We're looking at clear, sunshine-y skies all weekend with lovely, warm temperatures for the second weekend in a row.

See? Seattle weather isn't all that bad.

Tell your doubting friends the adage that once you make it through the dark, rainy winter, it makes the sunshine all the sweeter.

Temperatures are going to be in the 60s through the weekend, warming up with slightly higher highs each day, said National Weather Service meteorologist Logan Howard.

The rain is gone with no precipitation in sight for the next few days, Howard said. And clouds, too. Skies will be clear and blue. A slight breeze lingered Friday afternoon, then left for the weekend.

Saturday night will be a little chilly with lows around 40 in the city and low to mid-30s in rural areas with some frost possible, Howard said, but the nights will warm up a bit Sunday into next week.

So soak up the sun. Get that first tan of the year if you didn't get it last weekend. Take a walk in the park, smell the flowers, set up a picnic, peruse a farmers market.
