Seattle weather: Warm, dry outlook all week, with highs reaching 70

Seattle is in for a dry week, with temperatures expected to reach the low 70s as May approaches.

The only chance of rain this week is near the mountains, where showers are possible in the higher terrain, said Harrison Rademacher, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service. Otherwise, the rest of the region will be on the drier side.

Temperatures will hang in the 60s until an onshore flow midweek cools the area down by a couple of degrees. By Wednesday, temps will start to slowly climb again.

The nice weather will likely draw people into the outdoors and to waterfronts. But Lake Washington and the region's rivers, streams and waterfalls will still be cold, Rademacher warned.

"It's definitely a good week to be outside, he said. Just remember, it's cold in those waters. Use caution."
