Man stabbed at memorial service in Seattle sculpture park
A 21-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed at a celebration of life ceremony Sunday evening near Seattle's waterfront.
Seattle police found the injured man around 5:45 p.m. near 10 Broad Street in Belltown, police spokesperson Detective Eric Muñoz said in an email. The man suffered five stab wounds and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
Investigators determined the stabbing happened after a fight broke out at a celebration of life ceremony at the Olympic Sculpture Park.
Muñoz said the suspect fled on foot.
Officers searched the area, yet they could not find him, he said.
