2 in critical condition after stabbings in Seattle's Little Saigon

Two people were in critical condition following stabbings Sunday evening along South Weller Street.

Seattle Police Detective Brian Pritchard said officers were called to 10th Avenue South and South Weller Street, in the Little Saigon area of the Chinatown-International District, about 6:50 p.m. They arrived to find a man covered in blood and suffering from stab wounds. While searching for a suspect, officers located a second wounded person near 12th Avenue South and South Weller Street, he said.

Both men were transported to Harborview Medical Center, where they were listed in critical condition.

Using information from the city's Real-Time Crime Center and with help from police dogs and the King County sheriff's office, officers tracked a possible suspect. They cordoned the area, but no suspect was located, Pritchard said.

Detectives were following up, he said.

The neighborhood was the scene of a series of random stabbings in 2024, when a suspect was arrested and charged with felony assault.
