Body recovered from lake in North Seattle
Seattle police are investigating the discovery of a body in Haller Lake in North Seattle.
The Seattle Fire Department responded to a report of what appeared to be a body in the water about 4:30 p.m. Sunday. Divers recovered the body, which Seattle police Detective Brian Pritchard said showed signs of decomposition.
Pritchard said the remains were initially identified as those of a 35-year-old man who went missing Saturday. The name will be released following an autopsy by the King County medical examiner's office.
He said officers were checking access points for unattended vehicles and property.
