Burn ban in Snohomish County amid dry weather
The Snohomish County fire marshal announced an outdoor burn ban starting Monday amid dry weather.
The ban encompasses unincorporated parts of the county and restricts all residential open burns, except for cooking fires, according to a news release from the fire marshal's office.
Outdoor burning is also restricted in Arlington, Brier, Edmonds, Everett, Granite Falls, Gold Bar, Index, Lake Stevens, Lynnwood, Marysville, Mill Creek, Monroe, Mountlake Terrace, Snohomish, Stanwood, Sultan and Woodway, according to the release.
The ban will be in effect through August and could be lengthened amid high fire conditions. For more information, contact the county's outdoor-burn hotline at 425-388-3508.
