Dust advisory affecting Adams and Whitman counties Monday night

At 8:29 p.m. on Monday, the NWS Spokane WA released a dust advisory in effect until 9:30 p.m. for Adams and Whitman counties.
"At 8:28 p.m., a trained spotter reported blowing dust in Ritzville producing visibility between 1/2 and 1 mile," states the NWS. "Hazardous travel."
Locations impacted by the advisory include Ritzville, Lamont, Marcellus, Marengo, Tokio, Winona, Revere, Packard, Ewen, Ewan and Schoonover. This includes the following highways: Interstate 90 in Washington between mile markers 209 and 235. U.S. Highway 395 in Washington between mile markers 89 and 96.
The NWS states, "Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your foot off the brake."
This advisory is in effect until 9:30 p.m.
