UPDATE: Fire weather watch for Eastern Washington for Saturday, says the NWS

An updated fire weather watch was issued by the NWS Spokane WA on Friday at 8:57 a.m. valid for Saturday between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. The watch is for Central Washington Cascade Foothills, Waterville Plateau and Western Columbia Basin.

"Affected Area: Foothills of Central Washington Cascades (Zone 705), Waterville Plateau (Zone 706) and Western Columbia Basin (Zone 707). Winds: West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Relative Humidities: 12 to 22%. Impacts: Rapid fire spread is likely with any new or ongoing fires," describes the NWS.

This watch is in effect until Saturday at 11 p.m.
