Fallout is fierce over CIA torture report

The fallout continues from the release this week of a Senate report detailing the CIA’s brutal torture methods used in the aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on American soil. Some members of Congress are calling for CIA Director John Brennan to resign. President Obama voiced confidence in Brennan and his charges and declined to heap criticism on the Bush administration for its use of torture, but reiterated that the United States was wrong to pursue such inhumane treatment of post 9/11 prisoners.
