Illegal immigration is, well, illegal. But instead of spending billions of dollars building walls and hiring deportation agents, additional ICE and DEA agents, there may be a cheaper way to decrease illegal immigration and drug smuggling.

U.S. employers should pay all workers by payroll, deducting taxes and other mandatory items. And it would be much cheaper to have employees show proof of citizenship or a valid work visa at the time of hiring.

Drugs are imported into the U.S. because there is a market. If there were no buyers of drugs in the U.S., then drug dealers would go where there is a market.
