Assault weapons ban misleading
Re: “Ban AR-15, AG urges state,” The Olympian, Sept. 8. “Assault Weapon,” a term only a Democrat could love. It’s fluid, flexible and easily changed. It can mean anything on any given day.
Just like the term “Living Breathing Constitution.” Attorney General Ferguson plans to “offer a measure” in the next legislative session to bar the sale of AR-15 rifles and “other assault weapons.”
What other weapons? I guess he’ll decide later. Truth is, Ferguson and the other Democrats supporting him would like to take away our right to purchase any weapon. There is no more important civil right than being able to defend yourself, family and home. He also wants to tell us how many bullets we need. The last time I checked we still had the Second Amendment, if that’s OK with Bob.
