The true facts about opioids

There have been several articles about opioid abuse, but has anyone actually studied the real source of the problem? You can order pain medications offshore with phony prescriptions, go to Mexico and get all you want with no prescription, and the people that illegally acquire and resell these drugs are the real culprits.

What someone should do is study to see if these millions that are overdosing actually have a valid prescription for their medications, or are they getting them illegally to really realize the source of the abuse problem. Don’t penalize the people that need these meds on a regular pain control regimen because of abusers that are acquiring them and overdosing on them illegally. It’s time to stop the dramatic overdose statistics with a dose of reality by publishing realistic statistics.
