Young voters should vote Hutch

I’m 23 years old and live in the county. I hope everyone votes for John Hutchings.

County government has been too hard on homeowners. Everything my grandparents and parents worked for is at risk because of what the commission has done to our property rights. Young people are ready for a change. We need independent leadership now more than ever, not more of the same from the same old establishment groups.

Hutch is that independent in District #1. He isn’t a part of any establishment political groups. His work has been in law enforcement. But he’s not the rip and run guy from “The Wire.” He was an Olympia cop that got to know the homeless in downtown. He made a difference to help people by gathering knowledge like a scholar. Hutch contributed to all police work with his book on how to deal with mentally ill offenders without violence. Isn’t that something our county needs right now?

Hutch made Tenino better too. He stood up to two bad mayors and worked with council to keep a dying police department alive. Tenino PD takes pressure off the Sheriff’s Office, and Hutch showed the ability to maintain an underfunded department in a difficult environment. Isn’t that something our county needs right now?

The youth vote demands change and competence. An independent with good education, proven results, and strong qualifications. Please vote for Hutch.
