Lanese’s compassion makes him the right choice
As a Thurston County attorney with local roots, I care deeply about who we elect to our Superior Court. I grew up in Olympia, graduated from Capital High School, and have returned home to practice law with my father, 41-year Olympia attorney Stephen J. Henderson, and my husband, Simon Stocker. Superior Court judges play a vitally important role in the order and progress of our community; Chris Lanese has a depth of experience and inherent compassion that will make him a great judge.
On a professional level, Chris and I have been on opposing sides in many cases. Chris is a knowledgeable, fair, and compassionate attorney.
On a personal level, I care about the education, protection and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, serving on the Executive Board for SafePlace and as Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee for United Way Women’s Leadership Council. Chris was one of my trusted friends who sat with and supported me when I shared my story of survival for the first time publicly. Chris has done pro bono work for survivors of domestic violence throughout his career, including representing survivors through Thurston County Volunteer Legal Services and SafePlace. Notably, Chris has the personal endorsement of Mary Pontarolo, SafePlace’s executive director.
Chris’ pragmatic and compassionate approach towards our community’s needs, as well as his diligence in examining issues and listening closely to the public’s questions and concerns, sets him apart from other candidates. Please join me in voting for Chris for Superior Court judge this November.
