Don't destroy public park for fish factory

The City of Tumwater is allowing the Department of Fish and Wildlife to destroy 8.5 acres (and possibly much more) of Pioneer Park for another fish factory. The fish factory will permanently ruin the only place in all of Thurston County where your and your friends have public access to the Deschutes River in a natural setting. The fish factory will replace natural open space, which thousands of local residents enjoy every year, with asphalt, concrete, and buildings. This fish factory is a huge mistake. Your children and grandchildren need natural places to swim, inner tube, hike, play, and explore.

There are better places for another fish factory on the Deschutes River. Redevelop the huge asphalt parking lot at the brewery. The destruction of our only natural riverfront park can still be stopped.
